01Who we are

AYISHA Magazine is an independent digital magazine created and led by Ayisha Cottontail and published by AYISHA COTTONTAIL LLC, a limited liability company based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the magazine” mean AYISHA COTTONTAIL LLC. “You” means anyone who visits or subscribes to the site. “The site” means ayisha.com and ayishamagazine.com, which are the same publication at two addresses.

02Accepting these terms

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms as the magazine grows. The date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects subscribers, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.

03Who may use the site

Anyone may read the parts of the magazine that are open to everyone. To buy a subscription you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract where you live, and the payment details you use must be your own or used with the account holder’s permission.

04Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are not open yet. This section sets out the terms that will apply from the day they open.

The All-Access Digital Edition is a recurring subscription of $24.99 per month. It renews automatically every 30 days at the same price until you cancel it.

Payment is taken by CCBill, our authorised payment processor, on their own secure pages. Card details are never entered on this site and we never see or store your card number. CCBill’s own terms apply to the payment itself, alongside these terms.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you live. If we change the price of a subscription, we will tell existing subscribers before the change affects them, and you may cancel before it does.

05Cancelling, and refunds

You can cancel at any time. A cancellation stops the next payment; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is taken after that.

Because CCBill holds the billing arrangement, the fastest way to cancel is through CCBill’s own consumer support at support.ccbill.com, using the details on your billing statement. You can also reach us through the contact page and we will help.

Payments already taken are not refunded, except where the law where you live requires it, or where a payment was taken in error. If something has gone wrong with your subscription, please tell us — we would rather put it right than argue about it.

06What a subscription gives you

A subscription is a personal, non-transferable licence to read the magazine for as long as it is active. It is for one person.

• Please do not share your login, or let anyone else use your subscription.
• Please do not copy, re-publish, resell or redistribute the magazine or any part of it.
• Please do not download the magazine in bulk, scrape it, or use automated tools to collect its contents.

If a subscription is being shared or used to redistribute the magazine, we may end it. Where we do that and the reason is not something you did deliberately, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

07The magazine’s work belongs to the magazine

All editorial, photography, illustration, design, typography and code on this site is owned by AYISHA COTTONTAIL LLC, by Ayisha Cottontail, or by the contributors who licensed it to us. The AYISHA name and marks are ours.

Nothing on this site may be reproduced, distributed, adapted or used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine learning or generative artificial intelligence system without our written permission. Reading the magazine does not give you any rights in it.

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, tell us through the contact page with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will look into it promptly.

08Using the site fairly

Please use the site as it is meant to be used. In particular, do not attempt to break into any part of it, to reach the members’ area without a subscription, to interfere with how it runs for other people, or to send anything through our contact form that is unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading.

09Anything you send us

If you send us a message, a pitch or an idea through the contact page, we will read it, but please do not send us confidential material or anything you would not want us to have. Unsolicited ideas are not treated as confidential, and sending one does not create any obligation on our part — the magazine may already be working on something similar.

10The site as it is

We publish the magazine with care, but we provide the site as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that it will work with every device or browser. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including individual features or issues.

The magazine is editorial content. It is not professional, medical, financial or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as any of those.

Where the site links to somewhere else, that place is not ours and we are not responsible for it.

11Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, data or goodwill. Where we are liable in connection with a subscription, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12Ending it

You may stop using the site at any time, and cancel a subscription as described above. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. The sections on ownership, responsibility and governing law continue to apply afterwards.

13Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
